The blood-testicular barrier is a structure located in the testes, specifically in the seminiferous tubules. Its main function is to protect spermatogonia and spermatocytes from the immune system.
If the blood-testicular barrier is broken, antisperm antibodies can reach the spermatozoa because they recognize the antigens on their surface.
