The necessary requirements to be able to perform an artificial insemination and achieve a safe pregnancy are:
- Infection-free sample.
- Tubal patency, otherwise the sperm will not be able to reach the egg for fertilization to occur.
- Good seminal quality.
- Age of the woman less than 36-37 years old and good ovarian reserve.
