Although the contraceptive implant is a very effective and comfortable method for women who do not wish to become pregnant, the truth is that it is not always recommended. Here are some situations in which the contraceptive implant is contraindicated:
- If there is suspicion that you may be pregnant.
- Women with undiagnosed bleeding.
- Allergy to the active ingredient that makes up the contraceptive implant.
Apart from these cases, the subdermal implant is also not indicated in women with heart attacks, liver disease, frequent headaches, migraines, etc.
