For some years now, there has been a lot of talk in Spain about preserving the umbilical cord blood of the fetus privately for use in case of medical need.
The main advantage of storing umbilical cord blood is its high stem cell content. In addition, its collection is quite easy and poses no danger to either the mother or the fetus.
