Sexual intercourse during menstruation and possibility of pregnancy

Although it is commonly thought that it is not possible to get pregnant by having sex during the days of menstruation, the truth is that there are possibilities.

For example, in a 24-day menstrual cycle, ovulation will occur around day 10. In this case, if the woman has sexual intercourse during the last days of menstruation, when she ovulates she may still have live sperm that can result in gestation. The reason for this is that sperm can survive in the woman's reproductive tract for about 4-5 days.
