Possibility of pregnancy with menstrual period and short menstrual cycle

Although the chances are low, there is a risk of becoming pregnant if unprotected sexual intercourse takes place during menstruation.

This probability is increased mainly in women with short menstrual cycles, since the days of menstruation and ovulation may be very close to each other.

As an example, if the length of a woman's menstrual cycle is 21 days, she could ovulate around day 7. Therefore, in this case, ovulation could coincide with the last days of menstruation.
