Sperm DNA fragmentation means that the sperm DNA has lost its integrity and presents breaks. This can have implications both in natural conception and in assisted reproductive technologies.
In the event that the male's sperm DNA fragmentation is high, the risk of pregnancy loss after ICSI is increased.
