Practicing sports in a moderate way has multiple well-known benefits for the overall health of both men and women. However, moderate physical activity also improves male fertility.
Moderate exercise (especially aerobic) improves sperm parameters such as concentration, motility, and morphology compared to sedentary men. This improvement in semen quality may be due to increased testosterone levels and a better oxidative balance in the semen, which reduces oxidative stress that can damage sperm.
