Double ovarian stimulation, also known by its name Dual Stim, consists of performing two ovarian stimulations on the woman, without waiting for her period to come between one and the other cycle. This means that the woman will begin to administer the hormonal drugs in the follicular phase and a series of eggs will be obtained.
However, the patient will then return to take medication again to retrieve oocytes in the luteal phase. In this way, an attempt is made to obtain more eggs to be fertilized in the laboratory.

Currently, dual stim is a highly recommended alternative for older women with low ovarian reserve.
