Dysmenorrhea is pain in the pelvic area that appears during menstruation. There are multiple symptoms of this condition such as cramps, severe abdominal pain, nausea, dizziness, etc.

This pain during menstruation tends to be more intense 24 hours after the beginning of menstruation and continues for 2-3 days. In addition, dysmenorrhea is classified in different degrees according to the magnitude of the pain.

On the other hand, dysmenorrhea may be primary when there is no demonstrable organic pathology or secondary due to pelvic anomalies.
