The pelvic floor is the set of muscles and ligaments that support the organs located inside the pelvis: the bladder, uterus and rectum. During pregnancy, the pelvic floor tends to weaken due to the weight it has to support. This can lead to complications and discomfort in women.
Therefore, it is advisable to exercise throughout pregnancy to strengthen the pelvic floor. A good exercise is to spend about 10 minutes a day contracting and relaxing the muscles of the vagina.
