The endometrium is a inner mucous membrane of the uterus that sheds during menstruation, and is the place where the embryos implant when pregnancy occurs.
To increase the chances of implantation, the endometrium must be at the phase of implantation window, that is, when it it develops a trilaminar appearance and measures 7-10 mm.
