As any other surgical procedure, pain and discomfort are common side effects derived from endometrial ablation (EA), regardless of the method of surgery used. Cramping, bloating/gas and urinary incontinence might also appear, but they usually stop after 1 or 2 days.
Bleeding or even the passing of blood clots beyond 2 days after the operation are abnormal and indicate that further medical assistance is necessary.
