If a woman is diagnosed with chronic endometritis, treatment will involve antibiotics to target the infection causing the inflammation of the endometrium. If the specific microorganisms responsible for the infection are identified, the most appropriate antibiotic will be used. If the microorganisms are unknown, a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against the most common pathogens will be prescribed.
In addition, the use of probiotics may be recommended afterward to help restore the microbiota.
