Yes. Performing a hysterosalpingogram can help clear the fallopian tubes in cases where there is a mild blockage. As the contrast dye passes through the fallopian tubes, it may clear the existing blockage.
If this occurs and the fallopian tubes are found to be patent following the hysterosalpingography, then the woman may be able to conceive naturally after the procedure.
