Can you tell if it is a boy or a girl in the 18th week of pregnancy?

By Marta Barranquero Gómez B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 11/15/2023

Yes, but it is also possible to know from the 15th week of pregnancy through an ultrasound. However, if it is a twin pregnancy, it is more complicated to know the sex of the babies, since they could cover each other. Therefore, it will depend on when the ultrasound is done and how calm the babies are.
