Is it normal for the baby to move little in the 39th week of pregnancy?

By Marta Barranquero Gómez B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 04/08/2022

Yes, the baby weighs about 3200 grams and is about 46 cm long. Therefore, the free space left in the uterus is limited and, therefore, it will not move as much as it did at the beginning when it was smaller.
