Throughout the first trimester of pregnancy many women have a brownish discharge and it is completely normal. However, it is always advisable to consult and ask the doctor to check that everything is going well.
On the other hand, if the brownish discharge becomes more reddish in color and is accompanied by intense pain and is prolonged over time, it is best to go to the emergency room so that the doctor can perform an ultrasound.
