Women with anovulatory cycles, meaning no ovulation, can still have their period. Nevertheless, these women tend to exhibit menstrual imbalances with considerable frequency; take for example women diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. They can experience anovulation and still menstruate even though their cycles are irregular.
