Is the eating of canned foods advisable for female fertility?

By Marta Barranquero Gómez B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 09/08/2022

No. Both canned food and food packaged in plastic may contain traces of Bisphenol A, a chemical compound that acts as an endocrine disruptor and interferes with the hormonal cycle. Bisphenol A could therefore worsen the quality of oocytes and make it difficult to achieve pregnancy.
