Until what age can eggs be frozen?

By Marta Barranquero Gómez B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 11/05/2025

There is no age limit for preserving female fertility through egg freezing. However, it is recommended to cryopreserve eggs as early as possible, as egg quality and quantity decrease over time.

Therefore, women who wish to preserve their fertility are advised to do so before the age of approximately 35.
