What is the treatment for mild azoospermia?

By Marta Barranquero Gómez B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 01/16/2023

Azoospermia is the absence of sperm in the ejaculate. Therefore, all men diagnosed with azoospermia will have the same level. On the other hand, if what happens is that there is a low concentration of spermatozoa, it would no longer be azoospermia but oligozoospermia. In this case, we could speak of mild oligozoospermia.

The best treatment option given this situation is to try to lead a healthy lifestyle, a balanced diet, practice sports and avoid alcohol and drugs. In addition, Andean maca infusions can be taken. Sometimes it is necessary to resort to pharmacological treatments.
