What is virtual hysterosalpingography?

Virtual hysterosalpingography represents an advancement over conventional hysterosalpingography. It is a hysterosalpingography performed using multislice computed tomography (CT), similar to the CT scans we are all familiar with.

Among the advantages of virtual hysterosalpingography are that the woman will not experience any discomfort, it is a non-invasive technique, and it provides more comprehensive information through its images.
