When is hCG produced after conception?

By Andrea Rodrigo B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 10/20/2017

hCG is rapidly secreted after embryo implantation, which takes place around 6 days after conception. Once it kicks in, hCG levels double every two or three days. As explained above, it can be detected by a blood test about 11 days after conception, and 12-14 days if you use a HPT.
