Would PGD be a possible solution for low ovarian response?

By Marta Barranquero Gómez B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 12/16/2025

No, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), formerly known as PGD, does not offer any advantage for women with low ovarian reserve. This complementary technique allows for the genetic analysis of embryos, but it neither improves nor increases the quantity of eggs available in the woman.
