Egg vitrification is a fairly safe and ultra-fast freezing technique, so no ice crystals are formed unlike in slow freezing.
Egg vitrification requires the woman to be administered hormonal medication to stimulate the ovaries and produce multiple ovarian follicles. Once the follicles have reached an adequate size, they will be scheduled for retrieval.
Finally, the eggs obtained from the puncture will be vitrified and stored in liquid nitrogen banks for an unlimited period of time until the woman wishes to fulfill her dream of motherhood.
