hello, I’m 6 weeks pregnant now and wanna know if having a constant, sharp abdominal pain is normal in early pregnancy. I’ve a terrible pain in my back (kidney area) and sometimes cramping in my uterine lining. The pain on my kidney area is accompanied by a burning sensation… Doc said it’s not a worrying issue as long as there’s no bleeding, that it’s normal, but the pain in my back is killing me!! Plz, help.

  2. Dear sonya_ayons,

Each woman is different and each pregnancy develops differently, so the symptoms you’re experiencing may keep on changing over the nine months of pregnancy. However, as indicated by your doctor, bleeding could be an alarming factor, but back or kidney pain, or any other discomfort around your belly area are normal symptoms of pregnancy.

Anyway, my advice is that you visit your gynecologist in case these symptoms get worse or become unbearable.

I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy,

    Regards

  3. 6 weeks? Hmm, no. Doesn’t sound right. Please see your doctor.
