Nausea after egg donation

Nausea, dizziness, and other similar symptoms typical from pregnancy occur as well even if I used donor eggs? The quantitative hCG pregnancy test is positive, I’m 4 weeks pregnant and still no symptoms… I mean no nausea, no vomiting, no nothing! Maybe a little bit of tiredness and bloated stomach, but nothing else… Does it mean I’ve lost my baby? Is everything okay? Is this normal?

  2. Hello Kaley,

not every woman has nausea during early pregnancy, without it meaning that your pregnancy is going right or wrong, or there exists some alteration. The fact that you got pregnant using donor eggs does not change anything as if it was a natural pregnancy. This means that the symptoms a woman may experience are equal either through egg donation or if achieved naturally. All in all, it is a pregnancy like any other.

There is no need to worry if you don’t notice alarming pregnancy symptoms or any other inconvenience, but feel happy because you are having a comfortable or easy early pregnancy period. However, if doubts keep on filling your mind and it will help easing your mind, you can share your concerns with your doctor, so that you can have a routine control done to verify whether everything is working as expected.

I hope I have been able to help,

    Regards
