How long can frozen sperm be stored effectively? I mean, what about sperm quality? Will it be diminished if I use it after… let’s say… 5 years? I’m about to start a chemotherapy treatment and by now I’m not planning to be a father, but I’d like to in the future… That’s why I though of banking it, but I don’t know too much about it, that’s why I’m getting involved here 🙂 Is there a certain time-limit or no? Your prompt response will be highly appreciated 😉

Apart from that, each individual sperm reacts in a different way to the freezing process, so each individual case should be determined by analyzing a thawed sperm batch.
Besides, sperm freezing or cryopreservation should be available to every patient diagnosed with cancer before starting any chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment.
