    Hi everyone,

my husband and I had our fertility appointment at WSFC and I was diagnosed PCOS. So we were suggested IVF. Does anyone have experience with this clinic? What are my pregnancy chances with PCOS?

  2. Hi Liv,

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder that affects the female reproductive tract by causing abnormalities in sex hormone levels. For this reason, about 75 percent of women with PCOS have infertility problems and find trouble when attempting to get pregnant. The main infertility problem of women with PCOS is anovulation. Thus, in order for these patients to get pregnant, inducing ovulation artificially is required. When you want to know more about ovulation induction for PCOS patients, read on here: Treatment Options for PCOS.

    Hope this helps,

  3. I’m PCOS patient, too and made a very positive experience at this clinic. I was medicated with Famara 5 mg (I’m overweight, otherwise it would’ve been clomifen) a trigger shot, and aspirin. Also had ultrasound scans to see if there were cysts. I was able to get pregnant at the second round of IVF.

  4. I suffer from recurrent pregnancy loss and unexplained infertility. I was at a different clinic before and had 2 IUI cycles which weren’t successful. I changed to the Women’s Speciality and was successful at the first IVF cycle. I wish I had gone sooner, would have saved me thousands of $.

  5. My OB/GYN also told me I had PCOS and he told me to look for a good fertility specialist. Can you give a few names? Location doesn’t matter, my husband and I would be willing to travel if we just found a good one.

  6. Hi Luise,

choosing a fertility clinic is not an easy task as numerous factors have to be taken into account such as offered fertility treatments, costs, clinic atmosphere, and location.

If you’re for fertility centers, I recommend you have a look at our clinic directory in order to get an overview of fertility centers in your area with useful information and to visit at least two or three fertility centers in order to compare the impressions of each of them so that you can choose the one that suits best.

    Hope this helps you,

    all the best.
