My BHCG level is 53.65 after a two-embryo transfer

Hello there, I was transferred two frozen embryos on April, 7 and 15 days after, my beta hCG level is 53.65. Doctor recommends increasing my Progynova dose and then repeat the test today. Should I be concerned? I’ve been experiencing period-like symptoms but I’m not bleeding.

That BHCG level is a little bit too low 15 days post embryo transfer. This is the reason why your doctor has told you to repeat it, because it needs further monitoring to check whether it is increasing as it should. Keep in mind that hCG levels have to double their value every 2-3 days.

This is a way to rule out the possibility of any pregnancy problem to arise, such as a biochemical pregnancy or an ectopic pregnancy.
