Hi girls,
I’m about to start my first round of AI at PFC and would like to hear your opinion about the center. How did it go? When were you successful?
12/01/2019 at 12:47 pmHi dear,
I was at the Pacific Fertility Center for IVF. I had lots of eggs retrieved but also suffered from ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Would have been preventable because this usually happens because of a hormone overdose. Now I’m looking for other fertility clinics in California.
01/15/2020 at 9:54 amHI Stacy11,
I’m sorry to hear this. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is a rare but dangerous complication during an IVF cycle which is the result of the over administering of hormone medication. In order to avoid future episodes, you might opt for an IVF with lower medication, which is known as low medication IVF or natural IVF. However, I suggest you consult your doctor about possible fertility options.
Feeling comfortable in a fertility clinic is very important. Undergoing any kind of fertility treatment is a hard road and can be emotionally very exhausting, so try to avoid any additional inconvenience. For this reason, from inviTRA we always advise you to visit at least two or three fertility clinics before deciding so that you can compare your impressions of each one. In our clinic directory, you will be able to obtain information about the centers in your area you are interested in. Here is the link: Fertility clinics in California.
Hope this helps,
wish you all the best for your next round.
