Are you more fertile after egg retrieval?

I had my eggs collected 5th feb but had sex 3rd Feb Iv had a period afterwards but now feel I have a lot of pregnancy symptoms could I be? Even though iv had a bleed? I’m not due now for another two weeks so not sure why I feel this bad

It is true that you are more fertile after going through ovarian stimulation. Keep in mind that you’re taking fertility drugs that induce ovulation and the subsequent production of multiple eggs. That’s the reason why, for instance, egg donors are strongly advised to refrain from sexual intercourse until they have their eggs collected.

If you had unprotected intercourse, then yes, chances of pregnancy are there. However, you had your period and you said you’re not due for another two weeks so I actually don’t think you are experiencing pregnancy symptoms. It’s likely that they are ovulation symptoms, which are quite similar to those of the premenstrual syndrome and pregnancy.

If you experience a delay of 4-5 days in your upcoming period, my advice is that you take a test. Until then, do not become obsessed, as stress can cause a woman’s period to be late.
