Surrogate motherhood in case of very large uterine fibroid

Hello, I’m posting this comment here because I need help. I’ve already a beautiful daughter with my former husband but I’d like to have another baby (another girl, fingers crossed!) with my current hubby. Problem is I had a hysterectomy done a few years ago because of a very large uterine fibroid. Luckily I froze my eggs… Now I know the only way I can have a biological child is via surrogacy. I live in Portugal and don’t know if the USA is the best option because it’s VERY expensive. Is there any other destination I could choose to cut the costs of surrogacy? I want to give it a try before moving to traditional adoption… If someone reading this has experienced surrogacy before, I’d appreciate some help. Regards

  2. Hello Louise,

the United States is one of the most advanced countries in the field of surrogacy. However, the cost of fertility treatment within this country is usually very high. For this reason, the USA is unfortunately an uncommon option for international patients because they can’t afford such high prices.

The good news is that you can choose one of the following destinations: Russia, Ukraine, or Canada. Surrogacy there is cheaper, but please note that each country has different requirements and specific peculiarities for foreign patients wishing to undergo surrogacy there.

I hope I have been able to help,

    Regards
