The microbiota of certain areas of the reproductive tract can influence male and female fertility.
Through the analysis of seminal fluid in the male, it has been observed that there may be alterations in sperm quality depending on the bacteria that predominate.
In women, on the other hand, it has been found that some bacteria can alter follicular development and the response to sex hormones.
