After having gone through pregnancy and childbirth, the woman's body must recover before becoming pregnant again. For this reason, it is advisable to wait at least 18 months (year and a half) after giving birth to look for a pregnancy again. However, if the delivery was by caesarean section, the recommendation is to extend this period and wait at least two years until a new pregnancy.
On the other hand, it would not be advisable to wait more than 5 years to seek a new pregnancy after having had a child. It is important to note that there are certain complications that may be at increased risk if a woman becomes pregnant at an advanced age.
