Hysterosalpingography, also known by its acronym HSG, is a procedure to check the patency of the fallopian tubes and the condition of the uterus. It is a fairly straightforward process and the woman can return home after the hysterosalpingogram to continue her daily routine.
However, it is advisable to avoid heavy activities after the hysterosalpingogram and to take some medication to relieve discomfort after the procedure. It is also important to follow all of your specialist's instructions.
