Hysterosalpingography is a simple procedure that does not require anesthesia and is fairly quick, usually lasting around 20-30 minutes. The woman will be placed in the same position as if she were undergoing a gynecological examination.
After washing with saline solution, the specialist will insert the iodinated contrast medium through the cervix using a cannula.
