When there are a considerable number of oocytes obtained after the follicular puncture, a combined or mixed cycle can sometimes be performed. For this purpose, the oocyte cohort is divided into two. One part of these oocytes will be fertilized by conventional in vitro fertilization, while the other half will be fertilized by intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
In this way, it will be possible to benefit from the advantages of both techniques in the same cycle.
