Transvaginal ultrasound first trimester of pregnancy

The first pregnancy control ultrasound is often performed around 11-13 weeks of gestation. The purpose of this ultrasound is to take the measurements of the embryo and, taking into account the date of the last menstrual period (LMP), it is possible to know the weeks of pregnancy.

In addition, the first trimester ultrasound also makes it possible to listen to the heartbeat, to know if it is a singleton or twin pregnancy and to measure the nuchal translucency.
