Third trimester ultrasound is performed in the 34-36th week of pregnancy. Thanks to this test it is possible to visualize the vitality of the fetus and measure the amount of amniotic fluid volume.
In addition, this ultrasound helps to position the umbilical cord and check that it is not encircling the fetus.
