Varicocele and hydrocele can often be confused. Varicocele refers to the accumulation of blood due to the dilation of the veins in the scrotum. In contrast, hydrocele refers to the excessive accumulation of fluid in the scrotal area.
It is widely accepted that varicocele affects seminal quality. A recent study suggests that hydrocele could also do so due to the thermal stress generated by the accumulation of scrotal fluid.
