Men do not experience menopause as such, but there is a syndrome of testosterone deficiency in the ageing male. This syndrome has also been called andropause.
Andropause is not suffered by all men, and is diagnosed by a deficit of serum testosterone that produces certain symptoms such as erectile dysfunction, depression, insomnia and irritability.
