The presence of clots in menstruation can be normal, especially during the first days of bleeding, when the flow is more abundant. However, if the clots expelled with the period are large, frequent or are accompanied by other symptoms, it is best to consult a specialist. Among these symptoms, we can mention:
- Heavy bleeding.
- Menstrual pain.
- Tiredness.
In these cases, the appearance of clots in menstruation could be indicative of an underlying pathology, so it will be necessary for the gynecologist to perform the appropriate tests on the woman to evaluate the causes of the clots in the period.
