Artificial insemination (AI) is a low-complexity, low-cost assisted reproduction technique that can help a man with oligozoospermia become a father. However, it is essential that the man’s REM semen analysis shows at least 3–5 million sperm to be eligible for AI.
In addition, it is important to consider the woman’s age and the patency of the fallopian tubes. This is crucial because if the sperm cannot travel through the tubes, they will not meet the egg, and fertilization will not occur.
