Secondary sterility is the term used for couples who have achieved a pregnancy, but have problems in achieving a second pregnancy.

The reasons for secondary sterility are similar to those for primary infertility. However, age and decreased ovarian reserve in women is usually the main cause of secondary sterility.

In addition, the problems resulting from the first pregnancy also influence the possibility of having another child in the future.
