Contractions are a characteristic symptom of pregnancy. As the due date approaches, contractions become more intense and their frequency increases. However, it is important to distinguish between true labor contractions and false labor contractions.
False labor contractions, or Braxton Hicks contractions, appear sporadically and are irregular. Additionally, these contractions do not cause intense pain and may subside with walking, which does not happen with true labor contractions.
