By the end of the third month of gestation, the foetus weighs between 8 and 14 grams and measures approximately 6-7 cm. The future baby's organs are already formed, although they still need to mature and finish developing.
The genitals will also be forming, but at this stage it is still too early for the specialist to confirm the sex of the baby with an ultrasound scan.
For her part, the pregnant woman will already have put on some weight and will probably already notice how her belly has grown.
