Where is testosterone produced in women?

Women also produce testosterone, although this hormone has always been more associated with men. Specifically, the glands that synthesize this hormone in women are the ovaries and the adrenal glands.

However, 50% of female testosterone will be obtained by the conversion of androstenedione to testosterone.
