Although testosterone has always been related to the male gender, the truth is that this hormone also has a very important role in women. In fact, in both sexes, testosterone has similar functions, among which are the following:
- Sexual function and libido.
- Appearance of body hair.
- Musculature development and good bone condition.
- Cognition.
- Mood.
On the other hand, androgens are precursors to synthesize estradiol, an estrogen (known as female hormones).
